James Godwin-Candlish

managing director

James leads the investment strategy and operations of Renovus, overseeing acquisitions, capital deployment and the continued development of the firm’s real estate portfolio.

His background encompasses the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing opportunities and structuring acquisitions through to planning, financing, development and long-term ownership. He has directed residential development projects from inception to completion, coordinating every stage of the process to ensure disciplined execution and lasting value creation.

Prior to establishing Renovus, James built his career within the real estate sector, including at Chestertons, gaining experience across acquisitions, investment and residential markets.

His investment philosophy is centred on disciplined decision-making, careful capital allocation and identifying fundamentally strong assets with long-term potential.

Kieran Perry

Kieran brings a breadth of knowledge in social impact real estate, possessing the industries know how and directing projects from “idea to fulfilment”.

He started off his real estate career by buying and refurbishing properties. He built an impressive portfolio of buy to let which was acquired by a known property investor.

With local knowledge and a trustworthy reputation in North of England he started to work with housing associations to secure them blocks of apartments that were later acquired by international funds. 

Dominic Phillips

Financial director

Dominic is a fully qualified CIMA management accountant with significant experience within banking and asset management services. He has worked for the likes of the global bank UBS and the renowned BlueCrest hedge fund. Apart from his accounting and financial reporting knowledge, Dominic expertise lies also in global emerging markets, equity derivatives calculation control and structured credit product sector.

After graduating from Winchester College, Dominic received his degree in Finance and Accounting from Warwick Business School.
